Volunteer Programme

Home Community Participation > Volunteer Programme

Teba Bank`s almost 900 employees are all actively engaged in the Khula Nathi Schools Programme. This initiative allows our colleagues to contribute their time, skills and knowledge to raising funds and contributing to improved learning and teaching environments in four schools - one in each of our regions.

The initial phase of the programme is focused on fund raising activities, these have ranged from selling food to organising charity golf days all focused on obtaining the necessary funds to meet the wish-lists of the schools.

The subsequent phases of the programmes include visiting the schools to implement the assistance they have asked for. This phase allows our colleagues - together with members of the community - to become physically involved in the upgrading of the schools.

Upgrading ranges from providing toilet facilities and classrooms, to fitting out science laboratories and libraries to painting, fixing roofs, flooring, windows and doors.
